The GIS electric chain hoist motor is designed for tough working conditions. It's robustly constructed and has an outstanding service life. Normal, fast and super fast speed models are available, both single and dual speed; as well as special voltages. Single phase models are standard.
A geared limit switch is standard. Lifting heights up to 120m are available, and accuracy for repetition is assured.
The GIS electric chain hoist range also includes low headroom hoists where lower ceiling heights prevent using standard electric chain hoists. These low headroom hoists have load capacities up to 3,200 kg. A range of push and electric trolleys are available with the GIS-CH low headroom electric chain hoist.

GIS entertainment chain hoists
GIS climbing and lifting hoists are widely used in the Australian entertainment industry - in many theatres, stages and film studios, as they fully meet VPLT standards for entertainment industry chain hoists including BGV-D8, BGV-D8 Plus and BGV-C1.
The hoists can handle loads up to 2,000kg. They are quiet to operate, which means they can be used for raising and lowering sets during performances. With lifting heights up to 120 metres, the GIS range of entertainment hoists are extremely reliable, cost effective and very versatile. They can be operated motor up or motor down, either directly or through an external controller.
